کاربرد نانوذرات در تقویت تحمل به تنش های زیستی و غیر زیستی در گیاهان

با رشد سریع جمعیت جهان، تقاضا برای محصولات کشاورزی به‌طور پیوسته رو به افزایش است. با این حال گیاهان در معرض طیف وسیعی از تنش‌های زیستی شامل آفات، بیماری­ها، علف­های هرز و تنش‌های غیر زیستی نظیر خشکسالی، شوری، گرما، سرما و فلزات سنگین قرار دارند که بر رشد گیاه و بهره‌وری محصولات خوراکی در سراسر جهان تأثیر منفی گذاشته و تهدیدی جدی برای تولید محصولات غذایی کشاورزی محسوب می‌شوند. این تنش‌ها علاوه بر تشدید بحران امنیت غذایی، موجب بروز خسارات اقتصادی قابل توجه نیز می‌گردند. برای مدیریت آفات، علف‌های هرز و عوامل بیماری‌زای گیاهی با هدف حداکثرسازی عملکرد، از مواد شیمیایی کشاورزی به طور گسترده استفاده شده است. اما مصرف بی رویه این ترکیبات پیامدهای زیست‌محیطی شدید به همراه داشته، سلامت انسان را تهدید کرده و هزینه‌های اقتصادی سنگینی ایجاد کرده است. بهره برداری کارامد از منابع طبیعی، بدون بر جای گذاشتن آثار نامطلوب بر محیط‌ زیست، زمینه را برای نفوذ فناوری نانو به‌ منظور ارائه جایگزین‌های مؤثر در حوزه‌های گوناگون، به‌ ویژه در مدیریت محصولات کشاورزی فراهم ساخته است. در این راستا استفاده از نهاده‌های کشاورزی در مقیاس نانو، از جمله نانو آفت‌کش‌ها، نانو علف‌کش‌ها و نانو کودها، اخیرأ به عنوان فناوری‌های نوظهور تقویت‌کننده گیاه، مورد توجه فزاینده‌ قرار گرفته است که تاثیر مثبتی بر بهره‌وری محصول دارند. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی جامع کاربرد نانوذرات در ارتقای تحمل به تنش­های مختلف در گیاهان و در نتیجه افزایش بهره‌وری محصولات و کمک به تامین امنیت غذایی جمعیت رو به رشد جهان می­باشد.
