باکتریوفاژها درمانگرهای جدید بیماری های گیاهی

از دیرباز تهیه مواد غذایی سالم و تازه یکی از مهمترین مسائل پیش‌روی بشر بوده و با افزایش جمعیت در دهه‌های اخیر بیش از پیش مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. در همین راستا کاهش استفاده از آنتی­بیوتیک­ها و افزایش استفاده از روش­های زیستی جهت کنترل آفات و افزایش سلامت مواد­غذایی مورد توجه تمام اقشار جامعه به­ویژه افراد فعال در زمینه تولید غذا می‌باشد. مقاومت آنتی­بیوتیکی و آثار سوء، استفاده از آفت­کش­های شیمیایی در مصرف‌کنندگان باعث ایجاد محدودیت­های فراوانی در استفاده از این ترکیبات شده است. از این‌رو توجهات به استفاده از روش­های زیستی برای کنترل آفات افزایش یافته است. باکتریوفاژها دسته­ای از ویروس­ها هستند که باعث مهار رشد میزبان­های پروکاریوتی (باکتری­ها) شده بدون آنکه تأثیری بر میزبان یوکاریوتی (گیاهان و جانوران) داشته باشند. مهمترین ویژگی این موجودات این است که با از­بین­رفتن آخرین میزبان خود نیز از چرخه خارج شده و نگرانی برای مصرف­کنندگان ایجاد نمی­کنند. در این مطالعه با مروری جامع به بررسی ویژگی درمانی باکتریوفاژها مزایا و شناخت بیشتر معایب فاژدرمانی در کنترل بیماریهای گیاهی پرداخته شده است.
